UPDATE: Tractor Trailer Slams Four NJSP Troop Cars On Route 78

Motorists reported seeing multiple New Jersey State Police vehicles on the roadside in Union Township with a person in handcuffs minutes before the accident.

The state's DOT website said only that the eastbound lanes were closed between exits 11 and 13, as of 3:45 p.m.

State police did not immediately return Daily Voice's request for comment.

Traffic cameras show vehicles at a standstill along the roadway.
